Dear friend,

Today marks the one-year anniversary of the Three Degrees Conference on the Law of Climate Change and Human Rights. Now, after synthesizing and building upon the success of the conference (and thanks to many of you), we introduce Three Degrees as a permanent project of the University of Washington School of Law. One of the first major centers for climate justice in the world, Three Degrees will harness the power of the academy and the law to promote fair and equitable adaptation strategies in regions most vulnerable to climate impacts.

This e-mail marks the official launch of our new Three Degrees website, where you can learn more about the ways Three Degrees will advance the work that many of us began together one year ago. The website also features accounts of projects underway, a blog of recent news and events, and a bit more about who we are. Please visit threedegreeswarmer.org for a full description of our work.

We are thrilled to share this news with you, and we hope that you will forward this announcement far and wide. We continue to seek out new opportunities for partnership, collaboration, and support, and your help will be invaluable to this effort.

Thanks in large part to our visionary Dean, Kellye Testy, we will step into our official roles as Directors of Three Degrees in mid-September.

Thank you so much for all of your support. We wish you all a happy summer.

With gratitude,
Jeni Krencicki Barcelos and Jen Marlow
Directors, Three Degrees
